Reliving my childhood - Thanks Mom!

Last night I had the awesome opportunity of reliving my childhood, thanks to my mom Janet (what an amazing woman she is)!! After dinner Katharine, Lincoln and I had the pleasure of setting up our ant farm, the ants finally arrived in the mail along with new sand! The reason I thank my mom is because she saved a relic from the 80's maybe 70's and Lincoln recently found it in Kousin Klubhouse at #19. So, we painstakingly planned out the ant farm and after a couple of attempts removed the inner piece to just let the ants have fun. I wanted the kiddos to enjoy watching the ants before bedtime - I'll try to follow the directions and make it better this weekend.

Earlier in the morning, we were talking about the ants and Katharine said she was going to name "her" ants, "daddy, mommy, Katharine and Lincoln." Then she asked Lincoln what he was going to name "his" ants and he thought about it for awhile and then said, "mine will all be called Robert!"

The best however was when I was tucking Lincoln into bed and he asked me to make sure the ants watched the rest of the Nuggets game with me. They did, but the Nuggets lost but the ants had fun and the kiddos will be so excited to see all the changes the little guys made over night including eating almost all of the piece of carrot we put in the atrium for them. Can't wait for the exclamations this morning! (I'll post pics later today)

That is awesome!!! Think I'll have to invest in an ant farm after reading your fun story! Sofia is totally into science lately bc they are doing lots of fun stuff as school (got caterpillars and watched them turn into butterflies, planted a seed and watched it grow, made a homemade Chia Pet, etc.).
