Look who is 1 year old

Lincoln's first year of life was a bit more nerve racking than Katharine. After two hospital stays and oxygen for about six months of his life it all went by WAY TOO FAST. About 9 months old he turned a big corner and began gaining weight and seemed to be a "normal" baby that wasn't dealing with health issues. He hasn't stopped gaining weight and his head is quite large, I have friends that tease me that he doesn't have a neck yet because it's not strong enough to hold up his head.

Lincoln turned 1 on November 21, he started his day off with a doughnut (or donie as Katharine calls them) to practice for the cake later on.

At his party Gemma made him the most amazing train cake I have ever seen...9 cars long and each one different with Lincoln driving the engine and riding in the caboose. He dove right in and now LOVES sweets of any kind. A monster has been created.

Katharine and the other kids helped Lincoln open his presents but he was most interested in the balloons for the rest of the week. All in all a great birthday for the little guy who has blessed our lives.
